Countdown Timer for Events
Create a live, ticking countdown to any future date and time — a wedding, launch, deadline or holiday. Save multiple named countdowns at once, each updating live and saved automatically in your browser.
How to Use the Countdown Timer for Events
- Enter a name for your event and pick the target date and time.
- Click "Create Countdown" to add a live-updating countdown card.
- Add as many countdowns as you like — each one ticks down independently in days, hours, minutes and seconds.
- Your countdowns are saved automatically, so they'll still be there the next time you open this page.
- Click the "×" on any card to remove that countdown when it's no longer needed.
Why Use This Tool?
Where are my saved countdowns stored?
Every countdown you create is saved using your browser's built-in localStorage, directly on your own device. Nothing is uploaded to a server, no account is required, and the data is private to this specific browser on this specific device — it won't automatically appear if you open the site elsewhere.
Could I lose my saved countdowns?
Yes. Because everything is stored locally, clearing your browser's cache or site data, using private/incognito mode, or switching browsers or devices will remove your saved countdowns. If a particular date matters a lot, make a note of it elsewhere as a backup, such as your phone's calendar app.
What happens when a countdown reaches zero?
The card will switch to a simple "This event has already happened!" message instead of showing negative numbers, so you always know at a glance whether the date is still upcoming or already passed. You can leave the card in place or delete it once the event is over.
Can I track more than one event at once?
Yes — there's no limit to how many countdowns you can create. This is useful for tracking several upcoming milestones side by side, such as a project deadline, a birthday, and a vacation departure date, all updating live on the same screen.
