How to Use the Image Cropper

Why Use This Tool?
Is my photo ever uploaded anywhere?
No. The crop preview and final image are both produced entirely in your browser using the HTML5 Canvas API. Your photo is loaded locally from your device and never transmitted to a server — which matters if you're cropping personal photos, ID documents, or anything private.
How accurate is the crop box?
The crop box position and size are tracked as proportions of the displayed image, then converted precisely to the image's actual pixel dimensions when you click "Crop Image" — so what you see is what you get, regardless of your screen size.
What are the aspect ratio presets for?
1:1 is ideal for profile pictures and Instagram posts, 4:3 suits classic photo prints and product shots, and 16:9 works well for video thumbnails and widescreen banners. Choosing "Free" lets you drag the crop box to any custom shape.
Can I crop multiple times?
Yes — after cropping, you can select a new image or adjust the crop box again and click "Crop Image" once more to try a different area or ratio before downloading.
