Why Use This Tool?

What is keyword density and does it still matter?

Keyword density is the percentage of times a specific word appears relative to the total word count of a page. Modern search engines rely far more on topical relevance, semantics and user intent than on exact keyword ratios, but checking density is still useful as a sanity check against accidental keyword stuffing, which can make content read unnaturally and occasionally trigger spam filters.

What is a "safe" keyword density?

There's no official magic number, but most experienced SEOs treat anything consistently above 2-3% for a single term as a warning sign that the writing may sound repetitive to readers rather than natural.

Why are common words like "the" and "and" excluded?

These stopwords appear frequently in every language and carry no topical meaning, so excluding them surfaces the actual subject-matter keywords driving your content's focus.

Is my content uploaded anywhere?

No. The analysis runs entirely in your browser's JavaScript engine. Your text is never transmitted to a server, logged, or stored — it's free, requires no signup, and disappears when you close the tab.
