Why Use This Tool?
Are my PDF files uploaded to a server?
No. This merger runs entirely inside your browser using JavaScript and the open-source PDF-lib library. Your files are read locally, combined locally, and downloaded directly to your device — nothing is ever transmitted to a server or stored anywhere. This makes it safe for contracts, invoices, IDs and other sensitive documents.
Is there a limit on how many PDFs I can merge?
There's no hard-coded limit — you can merge as many files as your browser's memory allows. For very large files or a huge number of documents, merging may take a few extra seconds since all processing happens on your own device rather than a fast server.
Will formatting, images and fonts be preserved?
Yes. Pages are copied directly from the original PDFs, preserving text, images, fonts and layout exactly as they appear in the source files.
Can I change the order of pages after selecting files?
Yes, use the Up and Down arrows next to each file in the list to move it earlier or later in the merge order before clicking "Merge PDFs".
