How to Use the Photo Filters Tool
- Click "Select an Image" and choose a photo from your device.
- Drag the Brightness, Contrast and Saturation sliders to adjust the look — the preview updates live.
- Click Sepia, Invert or Vintage to layer on a one-click preset (click again to toggle it off).
- Click "Reset All" to return every control to its default value.
- Click "Download Filtered Image" to save exactly what you see in the preview.
Why Use This Tool?
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. All filtering is done with the browser's native Canvas filter engine — your photo is loaded locally, adjusted locally, and exported locally. It never touches a server or leaves your device.
How do the sliders work?
Brightness, Contrast and Saturation are expressed as percentages of the original, with 100% being unchanged. Values below 100% dim or flatten the image; values above 100% intensify it. All three combine with any active preset for a single, unified look.
What do the presets do?
Sepia adds a warm brownish tone reminiscent of old photographs. Invert flips every color to its opposite, creating a negative-film effect. Vintage combines a soft sepia tint with boosted contrast and muted saturation for a faded, retro look. You can combine presets with the sliders for endless variations.
What file format does the download use?
Your edited photo downloads as a PNG file with the filter permanently baked into the pixels, so it will look the same everywhere you open it.
