Why Use This Tool?

Is my content sent to a server to generate the QR code?

No. The QR code is generated entirely inside your browser using a JavaScript library that runs locally — the text or link you enter is never transmitted anywhere. This means you can safely generate QR codes for private URLs, personal contact details, or internal-use links without worrying about a third-party server logging what you encoded.

Will the QR code still scan if I change the colors?

Yes, as long as there is strong contrast between the foreground and background colors. QR readers rely on the camera being able to distinguish the dark modules from the light background, so avoid choosing two colors that are close in brightness (for example, light gray on white). Classic black-on-white remains the most reliable and universally scannable choice.

What can I encode in a QR code?

Website URLs, plain text messages, Wi-Fi credentials formatted as text, contact details, event information, or anything else you can type — QR codes simply store text data that a scanning app decodes and displays or acts on. Longer text requires a denser QR pattern, so very long messages may produce a QR code that's harder to scan from a distance; keep content concise when possible.

What size should I choose?

For digital use (websites, presentations, social media), 200–300 px is usually plenty. For print materials like flyers, posters or product packaging where the code needs to be scanned from a distance, choose 500 px or 800 px to preserve sharpness at a larger physical size.
